Leeds Welfare Cooperative Leeds Welfare Cooperative has as their mission: “A hand up, not a hand out.” The cooperative distributes food from its pantry, prevents utility services from being disconnected by paying on past-due utility bills, purchases prescription medicines for individuals, and provides clothing. In addition the Earl Street Christmas for Children provides toys and clothing. At Thanksgiving and Christmas, food gift certificates are given to families. |
